It’s February, and here at Tribe, we’re ready to spread the love. Valentine’s Day might look a little different this year, whether that means a date night at home with a good movie or dinner and drinks over Zoom. Maybe you’ve got a Galentine’s Day brunch date with your crew! Whatever your Valentine’s Day plans entail, we’ve got you covered with some easy hairstyles that we know you’ll love.

  1. Flat-Iron Waves

We know a flat iron isn’t necessarily what you’d usually use to add waves to your hair. This technique may sound like it doesn’t work, but we promise it’s simpler than it sounds! Grab a section of hair and start ironing downwards while flipping your iron away from your face. Glide the straightener all the way down the section and repeat for fast beach waves!

  1. Curly Up-Do

It isn’t always easy for those who have voluminous and curly hair to style strands under a time crunch. However, this curly updo is the easiest way to sweep all your hair up into an effortlessly gorgeous bun. Start by pulling some face-framing pieces away from your face (don’t put these up). Using a big scrunchie, pull your hair towards the top/back of your head and wrap it into a bun. You can continue to pull pieces of hair around your face and secure the bun with a few bobby pins to get the look exactly how you want it.

  1. Romantic Bun

This sweet, romantic low bun is sophisticated yet super simple. Start by spraying your hair with texturizing spray to help hold the bun in place; we love the Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray from Bumble & Bumble. Separate your hair into three sections going from your part to the back of your ears. Take the top layer of hair in the middle section and secure it to the bottom layer with bobby pins. Using a hair tie, tie the middle section into a low ponytail below the bobby-pinned area. Then, wrap all three sections of hair around the hair tie at the center of the ponytail and secure the bun with more bobby pins. Pull out some strands here and there to soften the edges and get that ultra-romantic style.

  1. Long Rope Braid

This style has some steps, but it’s easier than it looks. Start by spraying your hair all over with the Prêt-à-powder Très Invisible Dry Shampoo from Bumble & bumble. Spraying this is necessary to keep your braid from slipping, as the dry shampoo adds texture and grit to your hair. Brush your hair out and use your fingers to add volume to the crown of your hair. This style is much easier to learn with a tutorial; check out this video by The Freckled Fox. Once you have this easy twist down, it’ll take you less than two minutes to get a beautifully styled braid.

  1. Simple Pin-Stack

This style is perfect for any and all hair types, and it’s ridiculously easy! For this look, simply part your hair in the middle, then stack however many bobby pins you’d like above one of your ears. We recommend using 6-8 bobby pins, depending on the texture and length of your hair. Pull the front section of hair on one side of your face towards your back and secure with a line of bobby pins. The magic of this style lies in your ability to individualize the look! Find some cute bobby pins or clips that match your style, and go from there.

  1. 2-Minute Half-Up

A messy bun doesn’t have to be something you reserve for lazy days. This look combines a simple messy bun with a flirty half up. The best part? You can do this style with damp or dry hair, so it’s okay if you don’t have time for the blow dryer. Start by separating your hair into two sections, parting from ear to ear. The top section can then be twisted into a messy bun and secured with a hair tie and bobby pins. Finish your ends with some texturizing spray, and voila!
