What are hand-tied extensions?
Hand-tied extensions use wefts of hair installed in rows. The wefts add fullness and length across a section of the head, rather than using individual strand attachments. At Tribe, our Tribe-tied method is planned around your natural density and the look you want to achieve.
We consider the number and placement of rows, the amount of hair, the color blend, and the finishing cut together. Adding more hair is not always the answer; choosing a suitable amount and placement is what makes the plan personal.
A blend designed for you
Whether you want fuller ends, more length, or extra dimension, your consultation starts with your own hair. We look at your current length and density, talk through inspiration photos, and discuss how you usually style your hair.
Color matching may involve more than one shade. If you are planning a color change too, we can discuss how lived-in color or balayage fits into your extension plan.
What to expect at your consultation
- Talk through the result. Share your ideal length, fullness, daily styling routine, and maintenance budget.
- Assess your hair. We consider the coverage and support needed for the attachments before recommending rows and hair.
- Review the full quote. Hair length, quantity, color work, installation, and finishing affect the investment. We explain what your plan includes.
- Schedule your maintenance. We discuss the appointments and home care needed as your natural hair grows.
Maintenance is part of the plan
Hand-tied extensions need regular salon maintenance. The timing depends on your growth, natural density, placement, and the condition of your attachments. Your stylist will explain the difference between an adjustment and a full removal and reinstallation for your method.
At home, follow your recommended brushing, washing, drying, and sleeping routine. We will help you choose products and show you how to care for the attachment area. Let us know about discomfort, slipping, or tangling so we can assess it.
